I like that you post your compositions — “Modal Stuff” is my favorite. I take piano lessons and a fun way for me to learn theory is to put it to use writing music, though I compose the old-fasioned way: with a piano and pencil. Most pieces I write have the melody in the right hand and the left is mostly I, IV, and V7 chords or some version thereof. I like how the left hand carries part of the melody in “Modal Stuff.” Also Pat told me you bought a keyboard that hooks up to your computer. You like it? I kinda want one, too.

Thanks. I’m afraid I don’t know what “having the melody” in a hand means. I have never played the piece, but I’m pretty sure the only thing the left hand does is play different versions of the I chord in argeggio the whole time. The keyboard I got is an M-Audio 88es. It’s semi-weighted, so it feels somewhat like a piano. I haven’t learned to play it, though, because my hands hurt from RSI. I probably won’t pursue music at all until that improves. You should put your music on your blog!
